Our Mission
From The Owners

Good Shepherd Transportation was started in 2015 by Chip and Lory Brown as a response to an ever-growing transportation need consistently voiced by social workers at hospitals and facilities in Northwest Arkansas. Doctors and dentists also related that their disabled clients often have a difficult time finding safe, reliable transportation to and from their appointments. Other people mentioned that they had no method of transporting their loved ones from a facility to their home without paying costly ambulance fees.

As a result, the Browns opened Good Shepherd Transportation in 2015. Having also worked in the senior home-care industry since 2011, Chip and Lory have a passion to provide quality staff and assistance to the aging senior population. Our drivers have all undergone extensive training, as well as motor vehicle record checks, criminal background checks, drug tests, driver physicals, and reference checks.

The Browns are also owners of Good Shepherd In-Home Senior Care which provides caregivers to assist seniors in their homes and/or senior facilities. Chip and Lory also started and managed the Samaritan Shop thrift store in Springdale, AR for seven years, an outreach ministry to those in need in NWA. Prior to that, the Browns served as missionaries for 20 years, assisting short-term teams throughout Central America and Mexico.
